Overview

In this release, we added the following features:

• Actual exam duration entry system
• Schedule Cloud integration Phase 1
• Multi-instructor exam assignment
• Automatic classroom assignment settings
• Exam planning table improvements

What's new

Actual exam duration entry system

Schedule now supports exam duration entry in both slot-count and minute formats.

The system adds Exam Duration (Minute), Invigilator Gap Before Exam, and Invigilator Gap After Exam fields, with validation between minute values and slot counts. Users can enter three-digit values in 5-minute intervals, such as 045, 090, and 120.

A 10-minute buffer rule helps preserve classroom turnover time between exams. The feature also supports Excel import and export, as well as API integration.

Schedule Cloud integration Phase 1

The first phase of Schedule integration with Constructor Cloud is now available.

Schedule can now run within an iframe in the Constructor Platform environment while preserving existing functionality. Authentication and language handling now align with the platform, and the header design has been updated to better match the cloud experience.

Multi-instructor exam assignment

Schedule now supports assigning multiple instructors to a single exam.

When multiple instructors are selected, the system creates separate exam definitions for each instructor and program combination and distributes learner counts proportionally. This helps institutions manage shared teaching arrangements and balance administrative workload more effectively.

Automatic classroom assignment settings

Administrators can now configure whether classrooms are assigned automatically during course and exam scheduling.

The setting is available under Planning Pages > Settings > Instructors, with the options Automatically Assign Classrooms and Do Not Assign Classrooms. When automatic assignment is enabled, the scheduling engine assigns rooms based on classroom function compatibility with the course description.

This setting is available only to Institution Admin and System Admin users.

Exam planning table improvements

The exam planning module now includes updated table layouts and a new compact view.

The compact view places a compact course hours list on the left and a calendar and time grid on the right for the selected course. This makes it easier to review and assign exam schedules and follows the same layout pattern already used in the course period module.

Fixed issues

We have addressed the following issues:

• Selection on paginated exam-period pages: Selected data on Courses and My Exam Hours no longer resets when users move to the next page.
• Adding programs while copying exams: Users can now add a program to combined and regular exams in the exam copying module without errors.
• Course combine results after filtering: The course list no longer appears empty after users filter by course code and combine courses.
• Backup restoration: Institutions can now restore backups without errors.
• Pagination during course and exam periods: Pagination now displays pages correctly and shows the full course list.
• Faculty and program visibility in combined exams: Faculty and program information now appears correctly when exams are combined.
• Distribution operation errors: Distribution now completes without the reported error.
• Courses with multiple instructors: Course displays now show multi-instructor information more consistently instead of showing only the first lesson of a program.
• Instructor constraints on the planning page: Time slots no longer appear blank after users save instructor restrictions.
• Final Exam Schedule warnings: Courses no longer show unexpected error warnings in Final Exam Schedule.
• Exam date deletion and reselection: Deleting and selecting new exam dates no longer disrupts related areas.
• Combining multi-instructor exams: Courses with multiple instructors can now be combined correctly.
• Settings loading after login: Settings now load correctly after login.
• Filter reset behavior: Filters now reset correctly when users clear them.
• Exam duration import in Excel: Exam duration values now import correctly from Excel.
• Exam duration save on the planning page: Exam duration values now save correctly on the planning page.
• Public solution visibility settings: Errors affecting public solution visibility settings have been fixed.
• Long instructor names in the course scheduling modal: Long instructor names no longer cause UI overflow in the course scheduling modal.
