Constructor Prism: 30. Oktober 2026

30 October, 2026

Overview

In this release, we added the following features:

  • Custom image width by dragging, with left, center, or right alignment
  • Deleting courses and Content Library activities that were never published
  • A warning in the duplication dialog when some items will stay linked instead of copied
  • One SCORM package per module for AI-generated courses

We also fixed issues affecting AI course generation, publishing, the course editor, and the Content Library.

What's new

Images at the size the author intends

The size menu on the image block toolbar now has a fourth option, Custom width, next to the three existing widths. With Custom width, handles appear on both sides of the image, and the author drags it to the width the page needs, from a quarter of the text column up to full width. Height follows the image's proportions.

When a custom image is narrower than the text, the same menu offers left, center, and right alignment, and the block toolbar moves with the image. The caption stays centered. On phones, a narrow image never drops below half the text column. Cropping keeps the width the author set.

Existing images keep their current width. Custom width applies to the image block; image galleries keep the three standard widths.

Deleting courses and activities that were never published

A course that has never been published can now be deleted from its action menu in the course catalog with Delete course. Activities added from the Content Library stay in the library; everything created inside the course is deleted with it.

In the Content Library, an activity that has never been published can be deleted from its action menu with Delete.

Both actions ask for confirmation and cannot be undone. Published courses and activities cannot be deleted; a published course can be archived as before.

A warning before duplication links instead of copies

Items that come from the Content Library are not copied when a course is duplicated. They stay linked to the library original, and editing them in the new course changes them in every course that uses them.

The duplication dialog now shows a warning above the course structure, Not everything will be duplicated., whenever at least one item will stay linked. Authors can still confirm and continue. The warning also appears when a composition is duplicated from the Content Library.

One SCORM package per module

Export to SCORM in AI course generation now opens a dialog with two choices: what to export, Whole course or One SCORM per module, and the SCORM version, 2004 or 1.2. Whole course works as before.

One SCORM per module produces a separate package for every top-level item of the course outline: a composition with everything inside it, or an activity placed directly in the course. Each package carries only its own content and media, opens on its first activity, and reports its own progress and score, so the LMS can track and grade each module separately. Module packages use the course passing score; a module that is a single quiz uses that quiz's passing score. The course About text is not part of module packages.

When the export finishes, the dialog lists the packages in course order with a download button for each, and marks the ones already downloaded.

Note: SCORM 2004, the default, is the recommended version. A SCORM 2004 package tells the LMS separately whether the learner finished the module and whether they passed it, and reports progress as the learner moves through it. SCORM 1.2 has a single status and no progress value, so it is best kept for an LMS that does not support SCORM 2004.

Fixed issues

We have addressed the following issues:

AI course generation

  • The agent now follows the requested video length, from 10 seconds up to three minutes. Tracking IDs: LRN-22043
  • When several PDF files are attached at the same time, each file is now indexed separately, so the agent works from each book's own text. Tracking IDs: LRN-22772
  • Outlines for courses built from many large sources are now written in parts and no longer fail to generate. Tracking IDs: LRN-23235
  • Generated courses with fill-in-the-blank questions now publish to Learn; each blank has one correct answer. Tracking IDs: LRN-22654
  • The agent now reports only the video presenter changes it actually made. Tracking IDs: LRN-22407
  • SCORM packages of generated courses now include the files the author added, and videos added by link now play. Tracking IDs: LRN-22504
  • The Stop button in the course generation chat now has a label for screen readers and a tooltip. Tracking IDs: LRN-20752

Publishing

  • Changes can now be published after switching between the draft and the published version, and Publish changes is no longer disabled after a draft is edited and saved. Tracking IDs: LRN-23528, LRN-21501
  • Publish no longer appears for a moment while switching between the draft and the published version on a slow connection. Tracking IDs: LRN-22807
  • Courses whose About text contains images pasted from another page can now be published. Tracking IDs: LRN-23232
  • Newly published courses now become available in Learn. Tracking IDs: LRN-23203

Course editor and Content Library

  • Long activity titles in the course outline now use the full width; action buttons appear over the title on hover. Tracking IDs: LRN-22646
  • Pressing Enter now adds the next toggle when the previous one contains a nested bulleted list. Tracking IDs: LRN-15795
  • In the course preview, a discussion inside a long-read composition now shows the Start button. Tracking IDs: LRN-22594
  • Duplicating an activity in the Content Library now keeps the author on the list. Tracking IDs: LRN-22309
  • The All filters panel on Manage courses now matches the one in My learning and the catalog. Tracking IDs: LRN-17129

Known issues

The AI authoring limitations described in the August 11, 2026 release notes still apply. The following issues remain open:

  • A SCORM 1.2 package reports its results through the SCORM 2004 interface when the LMS offers both, as Learn does. The LMS then records the attempt as 0%, Failed. SCORM 2004 packages are not affected. Tracking IDs: LRN-23932
  • The name of a downloaded SCORM package starts with an export ID that the export dialog does not show. Tracking IDs: LRN-23931
  • A course published to Learn can show incorrect passing-score and score-weight values. Tracking IDs: LRN-21030
  • A course can be published even if a quiz in that course has not yet been generated. Tracking IDs: LRN-21011
  • Markdown and plain-text source files larger than 1 MB are not read. The agent asks the author to split the file or attach it as PDF or DOCX.
