Overview

In this release, we added the following features:

• Secure session registration with email verification
• Screen sharing controls for mobile
• Improved activity naming

We also fixed issues affecting mobile session behavior, file uploads, questions, breakout rooms, chat, and session stability.

What's new

Secure session registration with email verification

We redesigned session registration to improve security and the participant experience. When users register for a session, they now verify their email address before receiving their attendance link and calendar invitation. The system sends a verification email with clear instructions and provides options to resend the email or correct a mistyped address. After verification, participants receive a confirmation email with the attendance URL and an .ics file they can add to their calendar.

Screen sharing controls for mobile

Mobile users can now access zoom in, zoom out, and full-screen controls while viewing shared screen content in Groups sessions. These controls make it easier to review details and navigate shared content on smaller screens.

Improved activity naming

The Upload Video activity is now named Upload Media. The updated name reflects that the activity supports both video and audio file uploads, making its purpose clearer for instructors and participants.

Fixed issues

We made the following fixes:

• Mobile camera and microphone state after reconnection: Camera and microphone now return to their previous state after a mobile network reconnection instead of turning off unexpectedly.
• Mobile user visibility during application switching: Mobile users no longer appear to leave the session when they switch to another application while remaining connected.
• Mobile back camera mirroring: The mobile back camera now shows a correct, non-mirrored view for the publisher.
• Mobile Safari button accessibility in landscape mode: Bottom navigation buttons now remain clickable in landscape mode in iOS Safari.
• File upload restriction synchronization: Files that exceed size or bitrate limits are now blocked at upload time instead of failing later during live sharing.
• Permission error message accuracy: Users without the required permissions now see the correct insufficient-permissions message when they try to edit or delete activities.
• Mobile toolbar button spacing: Button spacing in the mobile toolbar is now improved to reduce accidental clicks, and the leave button has been moved into the menu.
• Modal positioning during interaction: Clicking buttons or text in modals no longer causes unwanted page scrolling.
• Question activity creation: Instructors can now add question activities to sessions without errors.
• Question result text accuracy: Question results now display 1 person instead of 1 people when only one participant selects an answer.
• Mobile Safari button visibility in landscape mode: Chat and flow buttons now remain fully visible and accessible in landscape mode on mobile Safari.
• Concurrent file upload stability: The application no longer freezes when users upload large session files and custom background images at the same time.
• Breakout room default chat: Breakout rooms now open with the group-specific chat by default instead of the main session chat.
• Chat link display: Links that contain special characters now display completely in chat.
• Mobile toolbar accessibility on iOS 26: The whiteboard toolbar now remains accessible in landscape mode on iOS 26.
• Usage quota display: Usage quota information now displays correctly for all customers in dashboard settings.
• Cross-chat message sending: Users can now send the same message in different chat channels, while duplicate prevention still applies within the same chat.
• Chat image restrictions: Chat now correctly restricts content to text messages only and no longer allows images to be sent by code or link.
• Participant search before session start: The participant search filter now works for learners before the session starts.
• Mobile emoji toolbar visibility: Toolbar buttons now remain visible and accessible when the emoji picker is open in landscape mode on mobile devices.
• Mobile sidebar display: Participant lists and settings now open in full-window view on mobile devices in landscape mode for better usability.
