Overview

In this release, we added the following features:

• Enhanced file upload error handling
• Restored hand raise workflow
• Bulk session creation via Excel import
• Deep Sync access key permission testing

We also fixed issues affecting breakout rooms, mobile layouts, audio, Canvas integrations, PDF display, screen sharing, replays, and session controls.

What's new

Enhanced file upload error handling

We redesigned the file upload error modal to provide clearer feedback when uploads fail. The system now shows specific messages for unsupported formats, file size limits, and other upload issues across avatar uploads, background images, and activity content. This helps users understand problems more quickly and resolve them without extra support.

Restored hand raise workflow

Based on customer feedback, we restored the previous hand raise workflow. Instructors can now see who raised their hand directly from the hand raise button, without opening the participants menu. This keeps the workflow familiar and makes it easier to manage learner participation during live sessions.

Bulk session creation via Excel import

Administrators can now create multiple sessions at once by uploading an Excel file from the sessions panel. The system validates the file, shows clear error messages when issues are found, and provides a detailed results table showing which sessions were created successfully. This makes large-scale session setup faster and easier to manage.

Deep Sync access key permission testing

We added permission validation during Deep Sync registration. The system now tests access key permissions before registration is completed and shows clear success or error feedback. This helps administrators identify configuration issues earlier and complete setup more reliably.

Fixed issues

We made the following fixes:

• Breakout rooms not closing properly: Breakout rooms now close correctly after they are deleted from the session flow.
• Mobile layout issues during screen rotation: Camera feeds now display correctly when users rotate a mobile device while activities are running.
• Breakout room closure breaking layouts: Closing breakout rooms while second-camera and document activities are active no longer breaks the layout or requires a page refresh.
• Pin Yourself activity visibility: Learner pins are now visible to instructors in real time during Pin Yourself activities without a page refresh.
• Canvas calendar meeting access: Users can now join sessions from the Canvas calendar without errors on the join page.
• Registration form field persistence: Custom fields added to registration forms now save correctly when new sessions are created.
• Mobile file upload failures: Uploading large PDF files from mobile devices no longer causes session crashes.
• Canvas session management errors: We resolved 400 errors during session creation and editing in the Canvas integration.
• Name validation on the join page: Users with trailing spaces in their names no longer encounter an infinite loader. The join button now stays disabled until validation passes.
• Mobile audio after reconnection: Mobile users can now hear other participants correctly after reconnecting to a session.
• Excel import date format errors: Error messages for invalid dates during Excel session import now explain accepted date formats more clearly.
• File format restrictions: The system now shows clearer error messages for unsupported file formats and files that exceed size limits.
• Screen sharing end delay: Screen sharing now ends immediately when users click the end button.
• Whiteboard visibility in replays: Whiteboard content that starts before recording now appears correctly in session replays.
• Mobile participant name display: Participant names and microphone status now display fully in both vertical and horizontal mobile views.
• Mobile replay controls: Participant list and chat buttons now remain visible in horizontal replay view on mobile devices.
• Mobile volume controls during screen sharing: Volume controls now remain accessible during screen sharing in both mobile orientations.
• PDF document display: PDF files now display at the correct zoom level, and drawing tools align properly with the cursor.
• PDF rotation with annotations: Drawings and annotations now rotate correctly with PDF documents.
• Safari whiteboard layout: Whiteboard layouts in Safari now display correctly on both mobile and desktop, including after orientation and window size changes.
• Safari background effects: Background blur and virtual backgrounds in Safari now perform more consistently.
• Safari emoji support with Arabic: Users can now use emoji in chat when Arabic is selected in Safari.
• Report scrolling: Horizontal scrolling in attendance reports is now easier to use, and the lower scroll bar remains visible.
• Password reset email link layout: Password reset emails now display the reset link correctly so users can copy it when needed.
• Folder creation in sessions: Users can now create folders during document upload activities.
• Chat layout in minimized browsers: The layout no longer breaks when the browser window is minimized in chat view. The system now switches to a suitable layout automatically.
• Hand raise list scrolling: The scroll bar in the raised hands list no longer covers action buttons.
• Screen sharing message alignment: Screen sharing notifications now stay centered in minimized browser windows.
• Sound spectrum synchronization: The blue border around participant windows now stays synchronized with sound activity across all noise levels.
• Screen sharing visual artifacts: We removed the extra black line that appeared during screen sharing.
• Save button positioning: The Save button now appears directly below the activity area during whiteboard and file-sharing activities.
• Chat message deletion counter: The unread message counter now clears correctly when administrators delete chat messages.
• Session info message formatting: Session status messages now display with proper spacing between words.
• Mobile chat view mode: The Chat layout mode button is now hidden on mobile devices where this mode is not supported.
• Question image size restrictions: The system now shows clearer guidance about maximum image file size when users upload question images.
• Instructor replay visibility: Instructor video and audio now remain visible in session replays after reconnection, even when screen sharing continues.
