Anakent School, a private school in Istanbul, uses Practice Science Labs with all of its middle school students

They run virtual experiments in class, at home, and in VR, and learn science by doing it

Some experiments never make it into a school lab

Experiments a classroom cannot run

Every science department has experiments it cannot run in a classroom. Some need equipment a school does not have, some carry too much risk for a middle school class, and some, like a study done in space, cannot happen in a school lab at all.

Anakent School’s general manager sums up the gap:

“There are many experiments students would struggle to do, or could never physically access.”

Translated from Turkish. Original: “Öğrencilerin tecrübe etmekte zorlanacağı ya da fiziksel olarak erişemeyeceği birçok deney var.”

What changed at Anakent School

Every middle school student at Anakent now uses Practice Science Labs as part of science teaching.

Lessons became interactive

Teachers use virtual experiments to turn science lessons into an interactive experience.

Experiments in VR

Through VR headsets, students explore the structure of a cell down to its finest detail and relive a study done in space.

From watching to discovering

Students ask questions, discuss, and discover by trying, instead of only watching.

Homework moved online

Homework moved into the digital space along with the lessons.

A first-place student film

Two fifth-graders made a short educational video with Practice Science Labs and won first place in the 2026 Constructor Tech Virtual Experiments Short Film Competition, held among Anakent students.

Here for the years ahead

The school plans to keep using Practice Science Labs in the years ahead.

Students become active learners

“This platform turns students from people who only watch into active individuals who ask questions, discuss, and discover by trying. … It makes learning lasting, fun, and built on discovery.”

Translated from Turkish. Original: “Bu platform öğrencileri sadece izleyen değil, soru soran, tartışan, deneyerek keşfeden aktif bireyler haline getiriyor. … Öğrenmeyi kalıcı, eğlenceli, keşfetmeye dayalı hale getiriyor.”

The results show at the end of the year

“When we look at their performance at the end of the year, I see that it has made a big contribution to our students. We will carry on with it in the years ahead.”

Translated from Turkish. Original: “Yıl sonunda gösterdikleri performansa baktığımızda öğrencilerimize büyük katkısı olduğunu görüyorum. Önümüzdeki yıllarda da devam edeceğiz.”

How Practice Science Labs makes it possible

Practice Science Labs is a library of virtual experiments whose results are computed from real formulas, so students see what their own procedure produces.

164 experiments, 13 disciplines

From early science to biology, chemistry, and physics, including a junior catalog for primary and lower secondary students.

Mapped to the MEB curriculum

Alongside IB, IGCSE, and NGSS. An experiment-by-experiment mapping sheet is available on request.

Full catalog in Turkish

Every experiment is available in Turkish, English, and Spanish.

Any device, plus VR

Runs in the browser on PCs, laptops, and tablets, and on VR headsets. Nothing to install.

Safe to repeat

Students repeat an experiment as often as they need, with no reagents and no risk.

Marked as students go

Work is assessed automatically, and progress flows into your LMS through single sign-on.

See a lab run on your own curriculum

Book a 30-minute demo with a science specialist. We will run a live experiment, show the teacher and student views, and send a mapping sheet for the curriculum you teach.
