In this release, we've added the following features:
The Secure Browser is now compatible with the Proctor SDK. This allows customers using SDK integration to apply Secure Browser restrictions and create a controlled exam environment on learners' devices.
Note: To use Secure Browser, enable the required proctoring settings in the LMS. For details, see: API parameters.
Learners can now access approved additional resources, such as PDF documents or websites, while taking exams in Secure Browser. When this setting is enabled, links or PDFs included in question descriptions open in a new browser tab.
The following restrictions apply:
LMS-side settings must be configured correctly to ensure links open in a new tab or window.
Secure Browser now automatically opens the Task Manager when manual intervention is required to close prohibited programs or processes during proctored exams.
Previously, learners had to locate and launch the Task Manager themselves, which could be confusing and time-consuming.
A new calibration step has been added to the proctoring setup in the learner web application to improve eye-tracking accuracy.
During calibration, learners look at nine points on the screen (for example, top-left, center, top-right) and confirm each position. The system uses this data to determine the learner's position relative to the screen and webcam.
This improves detection of when a learner looks away and reduces false positive alerts.
Constructor Proctor plugin is now compatible with Moodle version 5.
