Overview

In this release, we added the following features:

• Live Event recording, replay, and participation-based completion
• Microsoft Teams support for Live Event sessions
• Live Event synchronization with Groups and Zoom
• Live Event sessions in Calendar
• Push notifications for key learning events
• Improved Assess localization
• Localized XLSX import and export in Assess
• License-aware AI video generation
• SCORM video support for AI-generated courses

We also fixed issues affecting Live Events, Calendar, AI-generated course content, SCORM exports, Assess grading, mobile quizzes, reports, Catalog, Content Library, notifications, enrollments, and proctored exam starts.

What's new

Live Event recording, replay, and participation-based completion

Live Events now support a more flexible completion model for individual sessions.

When configuring a session, instructors can select the meeting provider, recording mode, and completion rule.

The following recording modes are available:

• Automatic — the session is recorded automatically.
• Manual — recording is available but controlled by the instructor.
• Prohibited — recording is disabled and replay is not available.

Depending on the selected provider and recording configuration, instructors can select from the following completion rules:

• Live attendance — the learner completes the session by attending it live.
• Live participation — completion is based on the percentage of the live session attended.
• Live or replay attendance — the learner can complete the session either live or by watching the replay.
• Live or replay participation — live and replay participation can both count toward the required participation percentage.

Unsupported combinations are blocked during configuration.

Learners can now also use a recording to complete a Live Event when replay-based completion is enabled. The activity page shows the completion requirement in clear learner-facing language and reflects the current session state. After the live session ends, eligible learners can use Watch replay and see their live and replay participation information.

When a Live Event includes several sessions, completing one eligible session is enough to complete the activity. Once results are finalized, learners can see their final completion result and participation details.

The instructor session interface has also been updated to make the session lifecycle and available actions clearer. Sessions now use clearly defined states such as Scheduled, Started, Ended, Closed, and Cancelled, with actions that change according to the current state.

Session reports now include the information needed for the selected completion rule, including live participation, replay participation, completion status, and attendance information. This makes it easier to distinguish between learners who completed a session live and learners who completed it through replay.

Microsoft Teams support for Live Event sessions

Microsoft Teams is now available as a Live Event provider alongside Groups and Zoom.

When a session uses Microsoft Teams, Learn creates and manages the corresponding Teams meeting. Changes to the session name or schedule are synchronized with the meeting, and cancelling the session also cancels the related Teams meeting.

The generated join information is stored with the session so instructors and learners can access the meeting directly from Learn.

Live Event synchronization with Groups and Zoom

Live Event session data can now be synchronized with Groups and Zoom.

Synchronization retrieves the current session state and attendance information from the meeting provider and reconciles it with the information stored in Learn. This provides an additional way to refresh session information when provider events are delayed or not received.

Synchronization is available while the session is still open.

Live Event sessions in Calendar

Scheduled Live Event sessions are now synchronized with Calendar.

Learners and instructors who are participants in a session receive the related Calendar event and can access the session from there.

Calendar events stay synchronized when:

• Session details change
• Participants are added or removed
• Groups or units assigned to the session change
• The session is cancelled

Only users included in the session participant configuration receive the event.

Push notifications for key learning events

The notification system now supports push delivery in addition to email notifications.

Push notifications are now available for selected high-value events, including:

• A learner receives a new enrollment
• Enrollment conditions are updated
• A learner completes an assigned learning objective
• An instructor is notified about completion of a quiz workflow

Email delivery continues to work as before.

Improved Assess localization

Assess translations have been refreshed across the supported interface languages.

This update improves the quality and consistency of localized interface text and extends language coverage for the additional languages now supported in the product.

Localized XLSX import and export in Assess

Assess XLSX question import and export now follow the selected interface language more consistently.

When downloading an XLSX import template, users receive the example and template files in the same language as the Assess interface when a localized version is available. Exported XLSX content also follows the selected interface language.

License-aware AI video generation

AI video generation is now controlled by tenant licensing.

Before generating content, the AI agent checks whether video generation is available for the tenant. If the feature is not licensed, the agent does not attempt to generate a video.

This allows AI video generation to be offered separately from the standard AI course generation capability.

SCORM video support for AI-generated courses

SCORM packages generated from AI-generated courses now include generated video assets in the exported package instead of depending on the original external source.

Videos play through the browser player when the exported SCORM package is opened.

Fixed issues

We have addressed the following issues:

Known issues

• Live or replay participation based on a required participation percentage is supported by Groups, but not by Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Available completion rules depend on the data exposed by the selected provider.
• Attendance synchronization with Zoom and Microsoft Teams is not included in this release.
• The in-application notification templates and infrastructure are prepared, but the notification scenarios included in this release are enabled only for push delivery, not for in-application delivery.
• The broader mobile WCAG compliance initiative is still in progress. This release includes the WebView accessibility audit, and additional implementation work may follow.
