Constructor Learn: November 2025 update

30 November, 2025

What’s new in Constructor Learn

November brings some of our strongest improvements yet to the teaching, collaboration, and assessment workflows in Constructor Learn.

This release expands Groups + Learn integration, upgrades grading and assessment efficiency, and refines the learner experience with better navigation and stability across the platform.

Groups integration: Instructor flow & calendar sync

  • Launch and join Groups sessions directly from the LMS: Instructors can now start or join Groups sessions right from within Constructor Learn, eliminating extra steps and saving valuable time.

  • Automatic calendar events: Scheduled Groups sessions are instantly added to instructors’ calendars, complete with direct access links—making it easier than ever to stay organized and never miss a session.

Enhanced assessment & grading workflows

  • Instant document previews: Instructors can now preview student submissions (PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, TXT, and code files) directly in the grading interface; no downloads required.

  • Smarter bulk downloads: Bulk downloads now include learner names and UIDs in filenames (e.g., [LearnerName]_[UID]_[AssignmentName].[ext]), streamlining peer review and grading.

Improved H5P content navigation

Seamless exit for learners: A new close button on H5P iframes allows learners to easily exit interactive activities and return to course content, mirroring the familiar SCORM experience.

Platform fixes & stability enhancements

  • Integration with Constructor Groups: Fixed issues with the “Edit in new tab” button and calendar event visibility for instructors.
  • Content libraries: Resolved errors when opening SCORM content.
  • Enrollment & retakes: Addressed retake window and group enrollment issues, and improved security around retake restrictions.
  • Learner experience: Fixed access and restriction issues for Media Block activities and assignment pages.
  • Reports & certificates: Corrected errors in survey reports and certificate template access.
  • UI & localization: Improved readability, fixed capitalization, and adjusted title sizes based on user feedback.
  • LTI & integrations: Fixed date handling and authentication issues for external tools and VR labs.

Course retakes and recertification

Introducing a comprehensive course retake system for multi-activity courses. This new feature empowers organizations to run recertification programs and allows learners to refresh their knowledge by retaking completed courses.

For instructors:

  • Configure whether a course can be retaken by learners.
  • Set a custom retake window (e.g., 2 months, 6 weeks, 1 year) to control when learners can retake a course after completion.
  • Decide which activities must be completed again, based on when they were last finished.

For learners:

  • Retake completed courses as soon as the retake window opens.
  • View all previous attempts and results directly on the course page.
  • Review previous attempts (if allowed by course settings).
  • See recently completed activities (within the retake window) marked as Finished, while older activities reset to Not started.

Key features:

  • Each course attempt is stored separately, with a complete attempt history.
  • Activity completion status is intelligently preserved based on retake window settings.
  • Progress in other courses remains unchanged when retaking a specific course.
  • All content flow settings and prerequisites apply to each new retake.
