This month's update includes added features to:

What's new with Constructor Learn?

We’re introducing a powerful new feature in this release: automated Knowledge Model creation for every published course. This enables administrators to activate AI chat widgets, letting learners interact with course content using a conversational interface.

What's new

AI tutor

We’ve taken a big step forward in enhancing learning support with AI by introducing the following features:

  • Automatic knowledge model creation: every time a new course is published or existing course content is updated, its media block content (including attached handouts), compositions, and video transcripts are automatically added to the course’s Knowledge Model. This applies retroactively to all existing courses.
  • AI-Powered chat widgets: learners can now interact with course content through conversational AI widgets, making learning more engaging and accessible.
  • Respect for course gates: The AI Tutor follows course progression rules. Learners can only chat about content once it becomes available to them, based on course conditions (for example, completing a prerequisite activity or waiting for a set period as defined in flow control settings).

Improvements

This release also includes enhancements that improve usability, localization, and performance:

  • Navigation menu: layout in the Management Portal has been improved. The Courses section is now placed at the top for quicker access by instructors and administrators.
  • Localization: automated UI localization services are now in place for more efficient internationalization.
  • Performance: various optimizations have been introduced to improve overall system responsiveness.

What's new with Constructor Proctor?

We’ve focused on enhancing security, streamlining live proctoring, and delivering a smoother experience for both learners and proctors.

SDK & Web‑App improvements

  1. Single‑device enforcement:
Constructor Proctor now blocks attempts to launch the same exam session from multiple devices. Learners are notified instantly if they try, protecting exam integrity.

  2. Microphone selection:
Learners can choose their preferred microphone during the system check (config: allowMicSelection).

  3. Auto‑opening chat:
Any new proctor message now opens the chat window automatically, so critical instructions are never missed.

  4. Updated waiting‑room page:
An attention‑grabbing icon has been added, making it clearer that learners should stay ready for proctor instructions.

A new “Waiting Time” column appears in reports, showing minutes between a learner reaching the waiting room and a proctor joining the session, giving you visibility into service levels.

  • Evaluate the latest client‑side cyberproctor models
  • Fix the duplicate exam_code exception on exam finish
