What's new

Audio preview for free-form response submissions

Audio submissions can now be played during grading of free-form response questions in quizzes.

The audio opens in a player in a new tab.

Supported formats are WAV and AAC (audio file formats).

MP3 remains supported.

Justification comments in rubrics during grading

Justification is now shown as a comment at the rubric criterion level.

AI-generated justification is added for each criterion.

Users can:

  • Add comments
  • Edit text
  • Delete comments

Justification is tied to the selected level.

The Feedback field no longer includes justification.

The same behavior applies in the rubric panel.

AI pre-grading for video submissions

AI pre-grading now supports video submissions for assignments and free-form response questions.

Supported formats are 3GP, AVI, FLV, MOV, MP4, MPEG, MPG, WebM, and WMV.

AI pre-grading returns a score, feedback, and justification.

If a submission includes multiple files, such as a video and text file, all files are considered during grading.

Grading follows the rubric.

Both visual and audio content in the recording are evaluated.

Supported submission types include selfie videos, screencasts, presentations, and group videos.

Large videos are supported within system limits, for example, up to about 1 hr at 1080p.
