What's new

Cancel button in quiz, survey, and question editing

A Cancel button is now available in the header on quiz, survey, and question edit, settings, and preview pages.

If there are no unsaved changes, the user is redirected to the list page.

If there are unsaved changes, a confirmation modal appears with the following options:

  • Leave without saving
  • Save and leave

The same confirmation modal appears when the user navigates by using breadcrumbs.

Saving empty entities still shows a validation error.

Image preview on the grading page

Image attachments can now be previewed directly on the grading page.

Supported formats are PNG and JPEG.

Images can also be downloaded.

Point ranges in rubrics

Rubrics now support point ranges such as N-M points instead of fixed scores.

Point ranges can be set during rubric creation and generation.

AI grading selects a score within the defined range.

AI pre-grading for free-form response questions

AI pre-grading is now available for free-form response questions in quizzes.

Since free-form response questions do not yet support rubrics, the system generates a rubric automatically in the background.

The generated rubric:

  • Includes three criteria and three levels
  • Uses a title that matches the assignment or question
  • Is based on the instructions
  • Uses point ranges

Feedback follows the rubric structure.

The rubric is not shown in the interface to graders or learners.

Editable generated rubric scores during grading

Pre-filled rubric scores can now be edited during grading.

For point ranges:

  • Scores are shown as ranges (N-M)
  • Users can enter a value within the range

Changing the selected level updates the score automatically.

The total score updates based on the criteria values.

For rubrics without ranges, existing behavior is unchanged.
