Overview

In this release, we introduced screen sharing permission controls, improved performance for large sessions, and resolved issues affecting stability, UI behavior, and integrations.

What's new

Screen sharing permission controls

Admins and instructors can now control whether participants can share their screens. This permission can be configured at the following levels:

• Room settings (default for all sessions in the room)
• Session settings (per session)
• Live session controls (via a dropdown, similar to microphone controls)
• System default (System Settings > Session Settings)

This provides flexible control over screen sharing in environments where instructors need to manage participant permissions.

Fixed issues

We made the following fixes:

• Chat mode layout in older sessions: Fixed broken layout when switching to Chat Mode. Chat Mode is now disabled when no activity is present.
• Mobile pinch-to-zoom behavior: Users can now zoom shared files using gestures, while preventing unintended UI scaling.
• False connection warnings: Removed incorrect “bad connection” notifications during stable sessions.
• Chat sound setting label: Fixed incorrect label display in Display Settings.
• Storage usage display: Storage usage now correctly reflects replay and file sizes.
• Room editing permissions: Room creators can now fully edit flows, moderators, and settings.
• Screen sharing reconnection: Screen sharing now remains visible after reconnecting to Wi-Fi.
• Screen sharing activity duplication: Prevented duplicate activities when refreshing during screen sharing.
• Screen sharing layout stability: Fixed layout issues when switching between screen sharing activities and restricted controls to activity creators.
• Learn integration connectivity: Fixed error 502 preventing users from joining sessions from Learn.
• Screen sharing interruption: Fixed incorrect behavior when starting multiple screen sharing activities.
• Time format display: Fixed column widths to correctly display AM/PM indicators.
• Time format settings: Corrected label and formatting for time settings, including translations.
• Empty folder messaging: Empty folders now display appropriate messaging.
• Learn grading without recordings: Activities now complete correctly even when no recording is generated.
• Brainstorming answer visibility: Learner answers now appear in real time without requiring refresh.
• Video synchronization on inactive tabs: Videos now pause in inactive tabs and resync correctly.
• Learn activity completion: Activities now correctly update to Completed with 100% when sessions end.
• Billing history date display: Dates now display complete and correctly formatted values.
• Recording permission prompt: Removed unnecessary permission requests when starting recordings.
• Video synchronization in Safari: Fixed sync issues when minimizing and returning to Safari.
• Breakout room stability: Fixed issues with stopping breakouts and duplicate room display.
• Activity deletion: Users can now delete their own activities without errors.
• Breakout room navigation: Fixed disconnection issues when switching between breakout rooms.
• Login page behavior: Prevented page refresh on incorrect login attempts.
• Recording settings persistence: Recording settings now persist across updates.
• PDF page navigation in Safari: Fixed incorrect page numbering during rapid navigation.
• Safari session access: Resolved white screen issue when joining sessions.
• Screen sharing and hand raise spacing: Fixed spacing between UI controls in the footer.
• Recording notification text: Corrected wording in recording and session messages.
• Mobile screen sharing display: Fixed issue where shared screens appeared blank on mobile.
• PDF visibility in replays: PDFs now consistently appear in session replays.
• Microphone indicator on iOS and macOS: Indicator now correctly turns off after leaving sessions.
• File folder visibility in Flow creation: My files and Shared files now display consistently.
• Activity loading delay: Reduced initial loading delay for Puppy activities and added loading indicator.
• Question answer divider alignment: Fixed alignment of divider lines in Question activities.
• File upload focus handling: Fixed errors during uploads and improved focus behavior.
• Question timer units: Fixed mismatch between configured and executed timer units.
• Replay video duplication: Prevented duplicate video playback in replays.
• Video player controls for participants: Restored volume control for all participants (speed control remains disabled).
