Constructor Groups: June 15, 2020

Overview

In this release, we improved reporting, session management, and user permissions. We also added calendar integration and new reports, improved performance, and fixed issues affecting the user interface, language settings, and session controls.

What's new

• Calendar integration (.ics): You can now add sessions to your personal calendar by using .ics file support.
• Date-based detailed session report: A new report is now available with detailed session information for a selected date range.
• Non-participant report: A new report now helps identify users who did not attend a session.

Improvements and fixes

Improvements

We’ve made the following improvements:

• Enhanced reports: The question report now includes a column that shows the correct answer for easier review.
• Smarter screen sharing permissions: When an instructor revokes presentation rights from a participant, the participant’s active screen share now stops automatically.
• Instructor permissions restored: Instructors can again change the role of participants they added to a session.
• Clearer chat history: A new option now lets the system clear all chat messages automatically when a session ends.
• Performance and stability:
  • Improved session list performance so the list loads faster.
  • Improved mail queue efficiency and prevented duplicate emails from being sent.

Fixes

We’ve made the following fixes:

• Session controls:
  • The Join button is now hidden correctly for sessions that have already ended.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented UI options from being changed in past sessions.
• User interface and experience:
  • Fixed an issue where the selected language changed incorrectly after a page refresh.
  • Fixed time zone issues in .ics calendar files and throughout the platform.
  • The Add User form now clears correctly after a user is added.
  • Fixed an issue where the button on the browser recommendation page did not appear.
  • Fixed an issue in the Raise hand list.
  • Fixed an issue with writing on the whiteboard.
• Video and replay: Fixed various video synchronization issues.
• Email and forms:
  • Fixed an issue where only the default email template was used for registration forms.
  • Participants can no longer be updated accidentally through the registration form.
