Overview

In this release, we made the following changes:

• Enhanced room moderator management
• Improved email delivery system

We also improved session reconnection and media handling, mobile experience and browser compatibility.

What's new

Enhanced room moderator management

We've introduced a new moderator assignment system for rooms. When creating a room, you can now select specific users as moderators through a searchable input field. Only assigned moderators and the room creator can join sessions with instructor permissions—all other users, including those with instructor roles in the platform, will join as participants. This gives you precise control over who can manage room sessions and prevents unauthorized access to instructor features.

Improved email delivery system

The email delivery system now handles large recipient lists more efficiently when sending invitations to sessions with many participants.

Fixed issues

We made the following fixes:

• Browser compatibility notification: Users opening sessions in unsupported browsers (Opera, Firefox) now see a clear notification instead of an infinite loader.
• Background recovery after reconnection: Virtual backgrounds now properly restore after network interruptions and no longer disappear for other participants.
• Flow image upload: Fixed an issue where an infinite loader appeared when uploading images for questions in the Flow editor.
• Camera activation in sessions: Resolved an issue where participants could not activate their cameras.
• Activity state after breakouts: Fixed a mismatch between activity states in the Flow sidebar and their actual status after breakout sessions ended.
• Chat mode close button: Removed the unnecessary close button from the chat sidebar in Chat view mode.
• Reconnection notification: Fixed an issue where the "Continue here" notification appeared after page refresh without a rejoin attempt.
• Mobile zoom controls: Updated zoom control tooltips on mobile devices for better clarity.
• Apostrophe in names: Users can now join sessions from mobile devices with apostrophes in their names.
• Mobile replay interface: Fixed an issue where replay controls were not fully visible on mobile devices.
• HTTP status codes: Corrected misuse of 401 (Unauthorized) status codes, replacing them with 403 (Forbidden) where appropriate.
• Room moderator permissions: Fixed an issue where unauthorized users could join with instructor permissions. Only room creators and assigned moderators now have instructor access.
• Room creator removal: Prevented removal of the room creator from the moderator list to ensure consistent access control.
• Mobile avatar upload: Fixed an issue where the save button was not visible in horizontal view. The editor now adapts correctly to screen orientation.
• Replay tab name: Added proper tab name display during replay processing in Safari on macOS and iPadOS.
