Overview

In this release, we added the following features:

• Configurable Canvas LMS grade passback
• Seamless navigation between Learn and Groups

We also fixed issues affecting audio reliability, memory usage, mobile replays, document sharing, Learn-integrated sessions, uploads, and session controls.

What's new

Configurable Canvas LMS grade passback

Instructors and administrators can now control whether Groups sessions automatically post grades to Canvas LMS. This update adds tenant-level configuration for grade passback behavior, including a non-graded mode where no scores are posted. The system also supports per-session and per-course overrides, giving institutions more flexibility in how they handle grading across different types of sessions.

Seamless navigation between Learn and Groups

Users can now move more easily between Learn and Groups. We added a Learn entry to the Groups navigation that takes users back to the Learn platform while keeping their session context. This creates a more connected experience between the two applications.

Fixed issues

We made the following fixes:

• Audio issues in live sessions: We fixed an issue where some participants could hear only the main speaker but not other participants during sessions.
• High CPU and memory usage: Resource consumption is now reduced during sessions with multiple active cameras.
• PDF files displaying as blank: Some PDF files that appeared blank in live sessions now display correctly.
• Participants tab in chat view: Clicking the participants button in chat view now opens the participant list instead of session analytics.
• Low-quality mobile zoom: Mobile zoom quality is now improved when users view shared screens in horizontal view.
• Sound indicators in mobile replays: The audio level indicator in mobile replays now reflects actual sound activity.
• Blank page after mobile screen sharing attempts: Attempting to start screen sharing from a mobile device no longer causes a blank session page for other participants.
• Message notification settings persistence: The Show browser notifications for each new message setting now stays in the selected state after the settings panel is closed and reopened.
• Replay loading issues: Replays now load more reliably, including in Safari, and users can seek to different timestamps without getting stuck on an infinite spinner.
• Learn navigation on mobile: The Learn navigation button is now available on mobile devices.
• Slow Safari joining experience: Session joining in Safari on both desktop and mobile is now faster and provides clearer feedback.
• Invalid enrollment redirect links: Enrollment email links now use the correct participant codes and direct users to the right session.
• Video upload failures in flows: Video files that upload successfully now appear correctly in the flow editor.
• Session names showing incorrect timezones: Session names in Learn integrations now display the course name instead of GMT+0 timestamps.
• Frozen video activities for learners: Video activities in Learn-integrated sessions now play correctly for learners.
• Edit in new tab behavior: The Edit in new tab button for flows within compositions in Learn now opens correctly.
• Microphone state mismatch: Users whose microphones appear off are no longer heard unexpectedly by other participants during multi-monitor screen sharing changes.
• Intermittent audio interruptions: Audio interruptions and spinner indicators during low-connectivity sessions are now reduced.
• Missing timezone validation errors: The system now shows an error message when session creation fails because timezone changes make the selected start time invalid.
• File upload queue blocking: Upload attempts that exceed file size limits no longer block later uploads.
• Speech indicator after stream restarts: The audio level indicator now keeps working after a user stream restarts because of connection issues.
• Page selection in Safari mobile: Selecting pages in shared PDF documents is now easier in Safari on mobile devices.
• Hidden toolbar elements on mobile: Toolbar elements during whiteboard and file-sharing activities now remain visible on mobile devices.
• Incorrect volume slider position: The volume slider now reflects the actual current volume level.
• Session creation failure with long scheduling periods: Learners can now join sessions even when the period between the start and due dates exceeds the maximum session duration.
• Activity filter for Upload Media: The Others activity filter now shows Upload Media activities correctly.
• Second camera activity creation: Users can now add a second camera activity without missing camera selection options.
• External activities not starting: External activities such as Pin Yourself now start correctly in both flow creation and active sessions.
• Emoji count notification mismatch: Chat notifications now show the correct emoji limit when users send multiple emoji.
• Premature recording indicators: The Recording in progress indicator now appears only when recording has actually started, and the recording agreement request appears at the correct time.
