Overview

This release enhances the virtual classroom experience with new camera and microphone management features. Users can now preview their camera, switch devices mid-session, and enjoy a more stable and intuitive interface.

What's new

• Camera preview: You can now preview your camera feed by hovering over the camera button before you start sharing. The preview will show the currently selected camera device.
• Live microphone switching: If the system detects a new microphone has been connected, it will now prompt you to switch to the new device without interrupting your session.
• "Use Here" for multiple logins: If you are logged in from multiple locations, a "Use Here" button now appears, allowing you to easily switch your active session to the current device.
• "Remember Me" for external participants: The external participant join form now includes a "Remember Me" option to save your information for future sessions.
• Configurable camera and microphone access: A new system setting allows administrators to control whether users can open their camera and microphone by default in a session.

Improvements and fixes

Improvements

We’ve made the following improvements:

• Floating camera: The floating camera in presentation mode is now more stable and behaves correctly.
• UI enhancements:
  • The user list scrollbar is now wider for easier use.
  • A shadow has been added to video controls for better visibility.
  • The icon for muted microphones is now displayed correctly.

Fixes

We’ve made the following fixes:

• Screen share layout:
  • Fixed an issue where the loading animation for screen sharing was misplaced.
  • Corrected a scroll issue with the screen sharing view.
• iOS/Safari:
  • Fixed a white screen issue on iOS.
  • Corrected an issue with addListener usage in Safari.
• Bugs:
  • Fixed a bug preventing the user limit count for a group from being calculated correctly.
  • Resolved an issue where the file upload process would get stuck on "Creating content...".
  • Fixed an issue where the avatar for the user controlling the whiteboard was not displayed.
• Breakout rooms: Made several fixes to improve stability and behavior in session replays.
