Constructor Schedule: April 21, 2025

Overview

In this release, we added the following features:

• Updated interface design
• Weekly free days report
• Expanded instructor permissions
• Course solution file re-upload

What's new

Updated interface design

Schedule now uses a more consistent interface design across the application.

This update improves the visual consistency of buttons, forms, navigation elements, and tables, which makes the interface easier to read and use.

Weekly free days report

Schedule now includes a report for weekly instructor availability.

Administrators can review free days for instructors in a weekly grid, which helps identify scheduling opportunities and plan assignments more effectively.

Expanded instructor permissions

Instructors can now manage more of their own course-related work in Schedule.

This includes viewing and updating course details, managing enrollments in their sections, and accessing reports related to their assigned courses.

Course solution file re-upload

Schedule now lets administrators re-upload course solution files for bulk changes.

This makes it easier to update course configurations, section assignments, and scheduling settings across multiple courses without starting over.

Fixed issues

We have addressed the following issues:

• Interface styling: Color inconsistency issues across different UI elements have been fixed.
• Instructor availability times: Incorrect time zone display issues have been fixed.
• Instructor access to assigned courses: Permission inheritance issues have been fixed.
• Excel file uploads: Validation errors affecting some Excel formats have been fixed.
• Dashboard loading for large datasets: Performance issues have been fixed.
