When International Business School (IBS) Budapest began offering more online learning opportunities, they encountered a familiar but pressing issue: how to run secure, credible exams for students who weren’t on campus.
As a private business school with international reach, IBS serves students across multiple countries and time zones. The shift toward remote learning wasn’t new—but assessing students fairly and securely in that environment was a challenge that required careful consideration.
The school needed a proctoring solution that could integrate easily with their existing systems, work reliably across regions, and uphold the academic standards their degrees are known for.
That search led them to Constructor Tech.
International Business School (IBS) had been using Moodle as its virtual learning environment, and the day-to-day teaching experience translated well into an online format. But when it came to exams, gaps began to emerge.
There were a few specific concerns:

Academic quality and international credibility are core to IBS’s mission—which meant any shift in assessment had to support, not compromise, those standards.
The setup worked directly with their existing Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), so no major changes were needed.
Constructor Tech was cost-effective for a mid-sized institution, with pricing that made sense for IBS’s usage needs.
From testing to rollout, the Constructor team worked closely with IBS to make sure everything ran smoothly.
Constructor developed and updated the Moodle integration last year to avoid using 3rd party cookies in the browsers. This has helped solve most of our technical issues

International Business School (IBS) took a methodical yet fast-moving approach to implementation:
Technical testing: The tech team first tested the Moodle integration on a separate test server to understand how the system worked and ensure it met technical requirements.
Pilot module: Once confident in the setup, IBS selected a pilot module and executed live proctored assessments in real conditions on the production Moodle server with a targeted group of students and teachers.
Full rollout: After the successful pilot, the proctoring service with Moodle integration was rapidly scaled across involving online tests or examinations. This system has now been in stable use for over two years.
To ensure a smooth transition and minimize disruptions, IBS also:
