Overview

In this release, we improved session stability, device handling, chat behavior, and file and transcription capabilities. We also introduced UI updates and fixed issues affecting session recording, playback, and integrations.

What's new

VTT transcription download

Session transcriptions can now be downloaded in WebVTT (.VTT) format with speaker identification and timestamps. This format is supported by video players and accessibility tools, making transcriptions easier to use and integrate with external systems.

Enhanced chat layout

The chat interface has been updated with improved spacing, smaller text, and a collapsible group and direct message picker. These changes improve readability and make better use of screen space.

Configurable join and leave notifications

Administrators can now control join and leave notifications at three levels:

• Tenant default
• Session default
• User preference

Users can still adjust their own notification settings, allowing both organizational control and individual customization.

Fixed issues

• Moodle LTI quick session creation: Fixed an error that prevented users from creating quick sessions through Moodle LTI due to unregistered participant codes.
• Mobile device microphone switching: Fixed an issue where switching between device and headphone microphones during a session selected the wrong input.
• Session recording reliability: Fixed an issue where instructor audio and video were not recorded after reconnecting.
• Mobile microphone auto-activation: Fixed an issue where connecting or disconnecting headphones on mobile Safari turned on the microphone while the UI showed it as off.
• Audio synchronization after device connection: Fixed audio sync issues when connecting devices during a session.
• Flow activity deletion: Fixed an issue preventing deletion of flow activities during sessions.
• Screen sharing for learners: Learners can now share screens when permissions are enabled, even if no administrator is present.
• Session join loading indicator: Removed duplicate loading indicators when joining sessions.
• LTI date format validation: Fixed session creation failures when account
• Chat unread message notifications: Fixed missing notifications when new messages arrive while the chat is open and scrolled up.
• Chat scroll positioning: Fixed an issue where chat scrolling could cover message content.
• Empty session replay handling: Added informative messages for replays with no recorded participants.
• Instructor replay after reconnection: Fixed missing instructor audio and video in replays after reconnection.
• Device permission notifications: Improved browser permission messages to clearly indicate when camera or microphone access is denied.
• Video playback initialization: Fixed an issue where lesson videos remained stuck in a loading state while the timer continued running.
• Landscape PDF display: Improved PDF display to adapt to screen size and remove unnecessary scrollbars.
• Breakout room activity visibility: Fixed activity sidebar synchronization so participants can see all activities within their breakout room.
• Replay volume control display: Added color indication to the volume bar for better visual feedback.
• Session list host display: Fixed alignment and visibility issues when displaying multiple hosts with long names.
• Word cloud special character preview: Fixed incorrect display of special characters in Word Cloud previews.
• Guesstimate results clarity: Improved results display by clearly labeling the correct answer and removing a non-functional close icon.
• Activity response count grammar: Fixed grammar to correctly display “person” (singular) and “people” (plural).
• Replay conversion functionality: Fixed a 500 error that prevented conversion of session replays to video format.
• Camera activation in sessions: Fixed an issue preventing users from activating their cameras.
• Time format display after reload: Fixed brief display of system time instead of user-preferred format after reload.
• Session list host filtering: Fixed intermittent issues when filtering sessions by host name.
• Session filter reset: Fixed the Reset button to properly clear selected host filters.
• Session list host alignment: Fixed alignment issues in the host column with multiple long names.
• Participant video stream hiding: Reduced delay when hiding participant videos from ~30 seconds to 1–2 seconds.
• Arabic language button orientation: Fixed pagination direction and media player timer position for Arabic UI.
• Canvas date format synchronization: Fixed date format display in Canvas LTI to match system settings.
• Chat message pinning: Fixed an issue where pinned messages were not immediately displayed as pinned.
• Breakout room file isolation: Fixed an issue where files from one breakout room appeared in another.
• Engagement sidebar real-time updates: Fixed Think Fast results to update in real time without requiring tab switching.
