Overview

In this release, we introduced:

• Proctor hosting in Saudi Arabia
• Improved second-camera functionality

We’ve also resolved several issues related to localization and live proctoring.

What’s new

Proctor cluster in Saudi Arabia

Proctor is now available in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Customers in this region can be confident that user data is stored and processed within the Kingdom in compliance with local data residency and regulatory requirements.

Video mode for the second camera

Proctor supports the use of a smartphone as a second camera to provide additional visibility into a learner’s workspace.

The second camera supports these two modes:

• Photo mode: A photo is automatically captured from the student’s phone at defined intervals (in seconds).
• Video mode: A continuous video stream is transmitted from the phone to the live proctor and stored for review.

The Video mode is enabled by default unless the Photo mode is selected in the settings.

Fixes

We’ve fixed the following issues:

• Layout issues affecting text and icons in the learner web app when using Arabic.
• An issue where video from the second camera flipped when zoomed in within the live proctor interface.
