Overview

In this release, we introduced session summary emails and transcription visibility controls, improved Unicode support for room slugs, and fixed issues affecting recording quality and device handling.

What's new

Session summary emails

Automated session summary emails are now sent to participants after eligible sessions end. The system generates AI-powered summaries based on session transcripts, including a recap, next steps, and topic breakdowns. You can configure defaults at the tenant level in Settings > Display Settings and override them per session during creation or editing. This helps provide structured follow-up without manual effort.

Session transcriptions in recordings

You can now access session transcriptions directly in the recordings UI. Transcriptions include timestamps, a synchronized follow-along view, and an option to export the transcription as a .VTT file.

Transcription visibility controls

Admins can control transcription visibility using a three-level setup:

• Tenant defaults in Settings > Display Settings
• Enforcement policies in Settings > System Settings > Policy Management
• Session-level overrides

When the policy is set to Not set, moderators can enable or disable transcription visibility per session. When set to Enabled or Disabled, the policy enforces the setting across all sessions. This provides control over transcription access based on privacy and session requirements.

Enhanced Unicode support for room slugs

Room name slugs now support all Unicode scripts, including Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hebrew, Hindi, and Thai. This ensures that generated URLs remain readable and consistent for all languages, especially when created through integrations.

Fixed issues

• Audio stream lost after reconnection in unstable network conditions: Improved the reconnection mechanism to better handle poor connectivity. Audio streams from other participants are now maintained after reconnecting.
• Robotic voice quality after device switching: Audio quality now remains consistent when the system automatically switches audio devices (for example, when disconnecting headphones).
• Video frozen in session recordings: Session recordings no longer contain frozen video segments when participants rapidly toggle cameras on and off.
• Missing audio and video in session recordings: Session recordings now correctly capture audio and video from all participants, including during screen sharing.
• Session recordings not processing after 48 hours: Session recordings are now processed and combined reliably within the 48-hour window.
• Replay showing infinite loading spinner: Session replays now load correctly instead of displaying an infinite loading spinner.
• Replay error after session completion: Session replays can now be accessed without playback errors.
• Settings menu not opening during live session: Message settings can now be accessed during live sessions without redirection to the main session page.
• Chat message blocking settings not unchecking dependent options: Unchecking Block public messages or Block private messaging now also unchecks related dependent settings.
• Announcement button unavailable during break: Announcements can now be sent during session breaks, not only in the pre-session waiting room.
• YouTube links not displaying correctly in exported chat history: YouTube links now display correctly in exported chat history files.
• Screen sharing permissions not syncing when changed during session: Permission changes made through the dashboard during an active session are no longer applied, preventing inconsistent states.
• Extra error notification when stopping screen share in Safari: Safari users no longer receive error notifications when stopping screen sharing while another activity is active.
• No notification when muted by Safari browser: Safari users now receive a notification when the browser mutes the microphone, even if the in-app control shows it as enabled.
• Broken layout in activity sidebar after rejoining: The activity sidebar now displays correctly after rejoining a session with an unfinished activity.
• Chat notification badge appearing on wrong button in breakout rooms: Chat notifications now appear on the correct button in breakout rooms.
• AI-generated questions not regenerating: The regenerate action now produces new questions instead of repeating previous results.
• Drawing toolbar misaligned in mobile horizontal view: The drawing toolbar now displays correctly in horizontal orientation on mobile devices.
• Inconsistent answer window sizes in Safari for Questions activity: Answer windows now display with consistent sizes across all browsers, including Safari.
• Incorrect empty state message for rooms: The empty state message now uses consistent text and styling (“There are no rooms added yet”).
• Breakout room file folders missing translations: File folders created during breakout room activities now display properly translated names instead of technical identifiers.
