What's new
Waiting time indicator in the proctor room view
Proctors can now see how long each learner has been waiting before being admitted to an exam session.
The timer appears in the proctor room view for each learner in the waiting state, updates in real time, and clears automatically when the learner moves to invited or in-session status. This helps proctors prioritize learners who have been waiting the longest.
New language support
Constructor Proctor now supports five additional languages.
The new languages are Kazakh, Sorani (Central Kurdish), Bosnian, Croatian, and Greek. Translations are available in the learner exam interface, the proctor dashboard, and the live proctoring interface.
macOS Dictionary blocked in Secure Browser
The macOS Dictionary application is now blocked automatically in Medium and High security modes in Secure Browser.
This prevents learners from using the three-finger dictionary lookup gesture to access word definitions during a proctored exam.
Improved face detection accuracy
The server-side AI pipeline now uses an updated face detection model.
The new model improves detection accuracy, especially for partially obstructed or off-center faces, while maintaining the same inference speed. These improvements apply during live sessions without requiring any action from proctors or administrators.
Updated default UI theme
The default web application theme has been updated to OneCloud.
This change applies to customers who do not use a custom branded theme. Customers with a custom theme or with IU or Certory branding are not affected.
Fixes
We've fixed the following issues:
- Learners saw a camera-related error instead of a microphone error when their microphone was disabled or unplugged.
- The macOS built-in Screenshot application was not blocked at the High security level in Secure Browser.
- Learners who started a Secure Browser session through the SDK were prompted to sign in again instead of being taken directly into the exam.
- Session archive and report URLs were unavailable in production environments.
- Voice violations detected during sessions were not saved in AI Alerts and did not appear in session reports.
- German translations in the eye-tracking calibration screen used inconsistent formal and informal pronouns.
